Cables

We are the Nordic market leader within recycling of complex cables and transformers, through the brand KMT Gjenvinning. At Linnestad, in Norway, we have developed our production site with state-of-the-art technology and lean production processes making this future-fit and one of Europe’s most modern facilities.

Improving through our circular solutions

Our Norwegian set-up is scalable, and in 2021 we acquired NKT’s cable recycling facility in Stenlille, Denmark. In sum, this makes us a large urban miner – and one of the largest Nordic producers and suppliers of recycled copper. Low carbon copper. We are improving both our customers' footprint and competitiveness through our circular solutions and by offering low-carbon raw materials. Our expansion will continue.

Recycling of cables generate large volumes of mixed plastic waste. Through years of R&D we have developed innovative recycling solutions for such low-quality mixed plastics. We make recycled raw material – but also commercial products – that of course are recyclable again. And again. This is plastics that historically have been landfilled or incinerated.

We offer services related to demounting of transformers. We can offer on-site demounting, as well as circular recycling solutions for the discarded material. Our experienced certified team both have the knowledge and the needed lifting, processing, and transport equipment for doing the job safely and with high quality.

Our services also include offloading of cables from ships. This requires special equipment and competence.

We are present throughout Scandinavia and for certain projects we are also operating further into Northern Europe.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch for enquiries related to recycling of cables – or purchase of low-carbon copper and aluminium.
